Demon Tamer (鬼使い "Onitsukai" ) is the 9th chapter of the Kekkaishi Manga written and illustrated by Yellow Tanabe
Summary[]
Tokine is alone at Karasumori Academy when Yoshimori and Madarao show up. Hakubi is off searching the grounds for Ayakashi, and Yoshimori convinces Madarao to do the same by implying that Hakubi is more dedicated. Yoshimori takes out his latest cake for Tokine to try, but they sense an Ayakashi and rush off to deal with it. Madarao notes that the evil aura vanishes quickly, and Yomi Kasuga suddenly falls out of a nearby tree. Tokine explains that Yomi is from the Shadow Organization, and Yoshimori correctly guesses that she caused the aura they sensed. Yomi clumsily tries to cover up her activities, and succeeds: Tokine and Yoshimori see her as being more weird than suspicious, and accept her offer to have tea. Yoshimori takes out his cake again and offers it to the girls (he only thought to bring two slices). Yomi mentions how kind Tokine's father was to her in the past, but admits that she didn't know Yoshimori's mother well, likely due to a difference in rank between them.
The next day, Yoshimori learns from Tokine that Yomi plans to stay for about ten days. He and Madarao meet Yomi that night at the school, and Yoshimori asks her not to bring up Tokio anymore, fearing it will upset Tokine. At the Yukimura Home, Tokine notices her Shakujo is missing, and takes a spare instead. Yoshimori falls unconscious from drugged tea that Yomi gave him. Yomi slips on a ring and summons her giant ogre, Yoki, to face Madarao. Tokine and Hakubi rush to the school having sensed a large intruder. Tokine suddenly falls into a pitfall trap, and is startled to see Yomi appears to gloat. Yoki blocks the trap with a boulder covered in talismans, and quickly grabs Hakubi. Yomi announces that she will be taking over Karasumori.
